Mini Meatballs for the Whole Family

I know it’s not easy to be a parent, and it’s even harder to cook healthy meals that your whole family will actually eat. Have no fear- mini meatballs are here! The best thing about this recipe is that it’s so incredibly versatile. Mom and Dad can enjoy them one way, and the kids can have them another way. Let’s start with the recipe and then we’ll talk about all the ways you can modify it for your family.

2 lbs of grass-fed ground beef (you may use turkey if you want less calories)
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 Tbsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste


Preheat oven to 350
Line cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper
Mix all ingredients together using hands
Scoop one flat tbsp of the mixture and roll into a ball with your hands
Place onto cookie sheet- these won’t spread so don’t be afraid to place them closer than you would cookies
Cook for 18-20 min
*Makes approximately 45 meatballs
What can you do with the mini meatballs?

  • Give young children a small bowl of tomato sauce for dipping- this is a great snack, too!
  • Bake some sweet potato fries at the same time you’re making the last sheet of meatballs- perfect side dish!
  • Use a spiralizer to make a zucchini and carrot veggie pasta mixture. Top with tomato sauce like you would regular pasta.
  • Use in a vegetable stew, salad or stir fry- remember that you can easily change the spices for a different flavor.
Note: These are perfect for freezing. Make large batches at the beginning of the month and pull them out when you’re ready to enjoy.
